gardening, dance – from ballet to "Ageless Grace", from tap to hip hop, poetry, sculpturing, woodwork, beadwork, metalwork, flower arranging, music - composing songs, lyrics, theatre, pantomime – writing plays or performing in them, making movies, writing fiction...and more.....
"The minute you begin to do what you want to do, it's a different kind of life." Buckminster Fuller

In this sense it provides a way of saying thank you for the good life we've had and to give back to our world and to others who have been less fortunate through raising much needed funds for local charities.
Sedgefield art is found in many unexpected places - in people who retire here and have time to take up art lessons and discover they have a distinctive talent for it.

Most of us will never become famous but that should never prevent us from articulating our own inner voice through whatever medium we desire to express ourselves.
This is because, piece by piece down through the corridors of time and space, we each have a place and a part to play, and perhaps to leave a lasting legacy.
One of the great paradoxes is we are all made of the same stuff and yet we are each uniquely different. By our very existence every individual is called to contribute in some unique way to this fascinating tapestry called life.
Sedgefield art is rich and diverse, a contribution illumining all aspects of human endeavour and unquestionable in value to our local community.
